_ _ _ _ Is Fragile
Ceramic, thread and ink on wall
Figures 2.5cm each approximately, total 35 figures being hung in a 80 sq ft room
2014

_ _ _ _ Is Fragile is an interactive installation. The room is filled with scattered human figures hanging off the ceiling. These finger-sized figures are off white in colour and barely visible unless one steps inside the room. The audience may find themselves adjusting their own movements to accommodate. The figures are made with clay and are very delicate. As the audience passes through the installation to reach their spot, tension is created when one becomes increasingly aware of the hanging figures. One’s sensitivity to their surroundings and their interaction with the work is heightened.
